Frequently Asked Questions
- How much does a website cost?
How long is a piece of string? Without knowing a thing or two about the project this is a very difficult question to answer. Just like buying a car, not only does make and model matter, but so do the additional features. With a website, additions may be custom graphics, online forms, databases, or Flash animations. Basically, the same relative size website may be very different in cost depending on the specific features you'd like.
If you'd like an estimate for your project, simply fill out a quick Client Survey and we'll give you a quote within a few days. If you have a budget in mind, we're quite flexible and would be able to work around that if possible.
- How long does it take to build a website?
The time it takes to finish a website can vary widely. Basically it depends on how complex the site is, and also how many pages there are. A simple site may take us approximately 30 actual working hours to create, while others may take 100 hours or even more depending on functionality.
- What role do I have in designing my website?
Your role in designing your site is entirely up to you! You may already know exactly what you want your website to look like. If you do, we would love to work with you in order to make your vision a reality.
Perhaps you would like your website to show your aesthetic but are not sure how. Many materials that you already have on hand can inform our process of designing a site you will love. There are a number of items that you might share with us such as pictures, pamphlets, logos and sketches that you have made concerning your ideas about the site. We will work with you to create a site that reflects your ideas.
Finally, we are happy to come up with a look and feel for you. We always ask that our clients take a look at our mock-ups before we actually begin building the site!
- What is your website design process?
Basically there are 5 main stages to designing a website:
- Define - state what the objectives of the website are
- Design - come up with the layout and 'look' of the website
- Develop - after signoff, create the actual web pages with finalised content
- Deploy - after testing, the site is now available for the world to see!
- Maintenance - continual process of updating website content and features
- How do I get my business listed in Google?
Google actually crawls every website on the planet regularly, so you actually don't have to do anything since it will happen automatically. To get a good ranking involves a LOT OF HARD WORK. Google's PageRank system is quite complex, but here's the key factors for you to consider:
- Link popularity - how many credible websites link back to your website?
- Content quality - is your website's content updated frequently? Is it good enough so that it's worth reading?
- Website Age - a website setup a few weeks ago is not going to as be as popular as a site established for a decade
For more info on improving your website's Google rankings, pls visit the Google's Information page.
- Why would I fill out a Client Survey?
Before starting any web project, we always request for our client to fill out the Client Survey. In the survey, we ask specific questions about the purpose and scope of the project. These answers help us learn about the goals and objectives of the project, and it also allows us to give estimates on costs. When filling out the survey, please try to be as detailed as possible.
- Do design print material as well?
Ye, we also design printed materials such as business cards, letterheads, stationery, and even posters and banners! Give us a call to find out more..
